Rage Against The Machine guitarist Respond to Riots London

Rage Against The Machine guitarist who is also a political activist, Tom Morello, London commented on the riots that happened the first time on Saturday, August 6 last.

Morello who claims to continue to monitor developments, thinking that the great unrest in England was not an accident that occurred after the riots that occurred elsewhere in the world today.

"Starting from the wave of Arab revolution Spring, then riots in Spain and Greece caused by austerity measures and 100 thousand people seen on the streets of Wisconsin as the working class to defend their union rights," Morello said as quoted by RockSound.tv.

He said the riots would not happen if everyone has the opportunity to see the future as bright as an opportunity to get an education, safety, security and economic prospects are positive.

In contrast, "When people stand on the edge, saw their future poverty, deprivation and crime then that's when a big explosion of violence occur," he said.

Seeing the gap between rich and poor continues to grow worldwide, Morello was not surprised when riots now happening in Britain.

Tom Morello told me, first he knew of London's riots by e-mail and tweets from friends in England who refers to some songs Rage Against The Machine. He claimed to worry about the safety of the people there, although at the same time the fire of anger against injustice around the world to be lit.

"In the midst of austerity measures, the British billionaire yacht did not return them. While people across the UK to live in desperate economic condition with no future to look at, "he said.

Morello talks concluded at the end, as long as the authorities running the system by making the profit as the primary motive, then the inequality and the same response from the people will continue to happen. "The situation is different in every place in the world. But the desire of all people to resist tyranny and have a decent life for himself and his family is universal, "he concluded.

Latest album Tom Morello solo project under the name The Nightwatchman, the World Wide Rebel Songs, will be released next August 29. The album is a support for the union staged a demonstration in Wisconsin, 14 February.
